The Carbon Neutral Project

The Carbon Neutral Project assists schools and businesses to reduce their carbon footprint. The mission is to create and initiate greenhouse gas reduction strategies.

The goal to achieve this is to follow these strategies in schools: 

• Behavioural change; staff and students take responsibility to reduce energy and water use and reduce waste 

• Use renewable energy; solar power, wind turbines and purchasing green power 

• Regenerate (Sequestration); tree planting – trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce carbon (i.e. wood) and oxygen
