Our Programs

SQW Ignite your Opportunities Program

Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) Project is a State Government Funded 18 week traineeship in Certificate I – Workplace Skills (Business and or Hospitality).

Pre-Employment Pathways Program (PEPP)

ATQLD’s PEPP program is designed to elevate the capacity, skills, and expertise of construction and manufacturing businesses in the region. By offering participants hands-on training and upskilling opportunities, the program helps create a strong, job-ready workforce capable of delivering major infrastructure and manufacturing projects.

CSQ Trade Ready Program

CSQ Trade Ready Program is a program designed 5-6 week course that blends technical knowledge with essential life skills to prepare you for a successful career. This is an unpaid participant program, with all training and courses funded through Construction Skills Queensland.

Throughout this period Walz have engaged well over one hundred apprentices, many of whom are still employed by the company today. ATQ take great care of all the employment & training requirements for our apprentices and trainees so we can focus on the day-to-day running of our business.

Apprentice and Trainee QLD facilitated the aptitude testing for Gladstone Regional Council’s 2022 intake of Apprentices and Trainees across a wide range of disciplines. ATQLD actively communicated throughout the entire process, taking great care of the testing process with final results presented in a clear and concise format. Their skill to undertake the groundwork for Council provided valuable assistance to our own team during the recruitment process.

Thankyou so much for taking us in in with such short notice, and providing a positive experience to us all. You guys are greatly appreciated and have helped us all better ourselves, through not only our skill set, but as people, overcoming weaknesses and challenges, but also working on and improving our strengths. I’m sure I can say on behalf of us all, we will miss you guys at ATQ, and will definitely miss our supervisor!

The last two years have been quite a journey. The SQW traineeship was life-changing. Through this traineeship, I found a job where I could use my skills and passions to help others and benefit the community, and it has introduced me to so many opportunities. Thank you ATQLD!
